Enjoy Comedy By 'Italian Chicks' At Ridgefield Park Beefsteak

RIDGEFIELD PARK, N.J.– Comedy will be featured at a beefsteak dinner planned on Oct. 1 in Ridgefield Park.

The Italian Chicks is a passionate blend of comedy, characters, music, song parodies, improv and Italian-American culture.

The St. Francis Fundraiser Beefsteak dinner and show will be headlined by the Italian Chicks,"a passionate comedy with a little drama" made up of Maryann "Boom Boom" Maisano, Mary Dimino, Regina Decicco and Gina Scarda.

The event takes place at Parish Hall and doors open at 6:30 p.m.; the show begins at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $50 for tickets. Call (201) 440-6886 for information.   

Maisano is a singer, songwriter, comic and writer who used to be a banker. Her original composition, "City of Light" was performed and recorded by Danny Aiello and nominated for a Grammy. She has opened for Joy Behar and Ray Romano, has performed at comedy clubs throughout the tri-state area and has worked with many musicians. She is the winner of the New York City Songwriters Festival. 

Mary Dimino, winner of the Outstanding Female Comedian 2010 MAC Award, has appeared on Comedy Central, VH-1, HBO’s Chris Rock Show, NBC's Today Show, sketches on The Late Show with David Letterman, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, AMC, New York Undercover, off-Broadway and more. Her one woman show, and now book "Scared Skinny" won the 2010 New York International Fringe Festival Overall Excellence Award for Outstanding Solo Show. For her role in the PBS documentary "Fat," she won a Gracie Allen Award presented by American Women in Radio and Television. 

Regina Decicco spent five seasons at Saturday Night Live and at “Whoopi,” Whoopi Goldberg’s NBC sitcom. She wrote and directed her first award-winning short film, “The Cyclist,” and has performed at comedy clubs throughout NYC. She performs, writes and films sketches with her all female group, “Candy Slice.” She is developing an original idea for a Broadway musical with writing partner, Lindsey Turner, and a song and lyrics teams comprised of Gary Adler, the musical genius behind “Altar Boys” and Phoebe Kreutz. 

Gina Scarda is retired from the NYPD. She opened for Adam Ferrara and was featured on Discovery Health channel’s Fit Family and Bravo’s Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style and Last Comic Standing.
