The event is sanctioned by USA Track & Field, and the certified course is a paved park path along the Saddle River -- flat, fast and scenic.

"All are welcome," explained Harriers Club President Mary Connolly. "It is our hope to not only have running clubs participate but to see a real representation of northern New Jersey -- companies, nonprofits, teams, municipalities and families."

Each relay team will have four members; each will run two miles. Each runner may run only one leg per team but may run on more than one team. Scoring will be by combined time of all four team members.

There will be six team categories: male open and masters, female open and masters, and mixed open and masters. Awards will go three deep in each team category.

For more information or to register, click here. The team fee is $50 with early registration -- received by Wednesday, April 6. Early registration can be basic, including only team name and payment. Team-member names can be added and releases signed on race day.

The team fee with race-day registration is $60. Registration will be from 7:30-8:45 a.m. The race will begin at 9. The event is sponsored by New Jersey Chiropractic and Sports Recovery, of Hasbrouck Heights.
