ROCHELLE PARK, N.J. -- The De Novo Harriers running club will be holding an eight-mile relay in the Rochelle Park area of Saddle River County Park on Sunday, April 10.
The event is sanctioned by USA Track & Field, and the certified course is a paved park path along the Saddle River -- flat, fast and scenic.
"All are welcome," explained Harriers Club President Mary Connolly. "It is our hope to not only have running clubs participate but to see a real representation of northern New Jersey -- companies, nonprofits, teams, municipalities and families."
Each relay team will have four members; each will run two miles. Each runner may run only one leg per team but may run on more than one team. Scoring will be by combined time of all four team members.
There will be six team categories: male open and masters, female open and masters, and mixed open and masters. Awards will go three deep in each team category.

The event is sponsored by New Jersey Chiropractic and Sports Recovery, of Hasbrouck Heights.
