At 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 26, the borough is scheduled to hold the “Kickoff the Summer Patriotic Parade and Party." The event is to start at the Central Avenue Parking Lot across from the Senior Center.

The parade loop is then to move to Madison Avenue before turning onto Burton Avenue and back onto Central Avenue, according to organizers.

Two inflatable bounce houses will be stationed in the parking lot along with a DJ and snow cones, according to organizers.

Borough children up to 10 years old who are attending the event are urged to wear patriotic clothing. They may walk the parade route with a parent or decorate and ride their bicycles, tricycles, wagons, carriages or strollers. Bike helmets are required for any children riding their bicycles or tricycles.

In the event of rain or extreme heat, the parade and party will be held inside the Senior Center. The DJ and snow cone machine will be included in such an instance, but the inflatable bounce houses will not.
