Moonachie Holds Annual Memorial Service For 9/11 Victims

MOONACHIE, N.J.– Moonachie officials are inviting the public to its annual 9/11 memorial service on Sunday.

Remembering the Bergen County residents who were killed in the terrorist attacks of 9/11.

Mayor Dennis Vaccaro, District 36 Assemblywoman Marlene Caride, and Superintendent of Schools Jonathan Ponds will speak at the event, which takes place at the Moonachie Civic Center. 

Moonachie Fire Chief Justin Derevyanik and First Aid and Rescue Squad Captain Frank Smith will lead a wreath placing ceremony.

Councilman Bruce Surak will read the list of the victims of the terrorist attacks.

The rain or shine service begins at 11 a.m. 

The Civic Center is at 10 S. Joseph Street.
