RIDGEFIELD PARK, N.J. -- A free rabies clinic for dogs and cats is offered by the Ridgefield Park Health Department on Thursday, April 21 at the DPW building.
All dogs and cats vaccinated in 2013 must be inoculated this year. The clinic runs 7-10 p.m.
Dogs must be secured to a leash and must be accompanied someone over age 12. Cats must be brought in a carrier.
Licenses for dogs and cats may be purchased at the site. Cost is $10 for a neutered pet; $15 if not neutered.
Dog and cat licenses expire Jan. 1 and must be renewed annually. Proof of current rabies vaccination must be presented in order to obtain a license. Licenses are available at the Village Clerk’s office.
A late charge of $10 will be added for licenses obtained after April 30.
The DPW building is located at 24 Industrial Ave.
