HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, N.J. -- Hasbrouck Heights officials are reminding residents to checkin on neighbors in after powerful storms like winter storm Jonas.
Something as simple as a phone call or knocking on the door of an elderly or special needs neighbor in the bitter cold weather can literally save a life.
Make sure neighbors have enough to eat and proper heat.
If you feel that an elderly neighbor may be in danger if they remain alone, ask them to come over and spend some time at your place until the temperature rises.
Call 211 or Police if Assistance is Needed.
