The group -- which opened for business on Black Friday -- enlisted members of Ridgefield Park Boy Scout Troop #3 to help cut, wrap and pack wreaths, grave blankets and trees for holiday shoppers.

Patrick Orth, a 10th-grader at Ridgefield Park High School, and Tyler Gregory, an eighth-grader from the middle school, helped the rotary sell Frasier and Balsam Fur trees on the first brisk Sunday of the event.

“We have anything from three-foot Charlie Brown trees to 11-foot monster trees,” Orth said.

Prices range from $25 to more than $100, depending on its height.

Troop members are pairing together on shifts throughout the season.

Diane Hanford of Bogota stopped by for smaller items.

“We cut down our own tree in Belvedere for a really good deal, and it’s a family tradition, but I’ve been coming here for the wreaths,” she said.

The annual sale has continued in the area for nearly half a century. It helps fund a number of causes supported by the Rotary.
