Officials say at least 80 people were killed when a truck rammed through a crowd celebrating France's Independence Day, Bastille Day, in Nice, France in an apparent terrorist attack Wednesday evening, according to multiple reports.

Approximately 120 injuries have been reported.

The truck's occupants and police exchanged gunfire and the driver of the truck was reportedly killed, according to CNN. The truck was reportedly loaded with arms and grenades.

The truck was described as a white tractor-trailer.

A lockdown has been declared in Nice.
