LITTLE FERRY, N.J. -- An organized effort is underway by the New Jersey State Council of the Vietnam Veterans of America to raise awareness of the dangers and lasting effects of exposure to toxic chemicals, NorthJersey.com reported.

The VFW in Little Ferry recently hosted an Agent Orange expert, Paul Sutton, for the fourth town hall meeting the organization has sponsored this year to make veterans and their families aware of long-term health consequences of exposure to toxic chemicals, according to NorthJersey.com.

The meeting was attended by a large contingent of veterans of Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq, according to NorthJersey.com.

Many of those attending asked how they can get help from the Veterans Administration for medical conditions related to chemical exposure, according to NorthJersey.com.
