HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, N.J. -- Adele Zukawski, of Hasbrouck Heights, died Wednesday, Aug. 17. She was 95.
She was born March 4, 1921, in New York City, to the late Josef and Jeanette Starczewski.
Before retiring, she was a teacher at the Euclid School in Hasbrouck Heights for 25 years and a member of the HHEA, BCEA, NJEA and the NEA.
She was the wife of the late Stanley Zukawski; mother of Lois Slaski and Janis Sramek; grandmother of four; and 1 great-grandmother of one.
There will be a funeral Liturgy at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Corpus Christi R.C. Church, 218 Washington Place, Hasbrouck Heights. Interment will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery in South Hackensack. Visitation will be from 8-9 a.m. Saturday at Costa Memorial Home, Boulevard and Central Avenue, Hasbrouck Heights.
