WOOD-RIDGE, N.J. -- Agnes McAvoy -- a Wood-Ridge resident, formerly of Manchester and Hasbrouck Heights -- died on Tuesday, Feb. 7. She was 76.
Born in Hoboken, McAvoy was a waitress at Inger's Restaurant in Hasbrouck Heights, before she retired. Previously, she had worked at ShopRite in Hasbrouck Heights.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth McAvoy; children Kenneth McAvoy and his wife Dona, and Kim Samarelli and her husband Cosimo; and six grandchildren.
McAvoy was preceded by her parents, Michael and Carmela Totaro, and her siblings, Angelina Lisa and Frank Totaro.
Visitation will be from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10, at the Costa Memorial Home, 170 Central Ave., in Hasbrouck Heights. The funeral will be from the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, with a 9:30 a.m. funeral liturgy from Corpus Christi Church. Interment will follow, at Holy Cross Cemetery, in North Arlington.
