Anthony 'Buddy' G. Feneck, 87, Of Hasbrouck Heights

HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, N.J. -- Anthony G. “Buddy” 87, of Pompton Plains and formerly of Hasbrouck Heights, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2016. 

Born in Jersey City to the late Anthony and Rose Feneck, he played professional baseball from 1947-48 for the N.Y. Giants Eastern Shore League.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, serving in the 49th Combat Infantry Regiment. Before retiring in 1992, he was a construction laborer for the Hudson County District Council of Laborers, Local 35 in Jersey City. He was a parishioner of Corpus Christi R.C. Church in Hasbrouck Heights, where he served as an usher and a past president of the Holy Name Society. 

He was the husband of 65 years to Rosine Harzer Feneck; father of Thomas Feneck of Hasbrouck Heights, Diane Feneck Lotwis and her husband Michael of Wyckoff, Cathy Feneck of Wallington and Steven Feneck and his wife Dena of Warwick, N.Y.; brother of Joan Giordano of Rutherford and the late Anna Feneck and Jean Mele; and grandfather of Chloe Lotwis. 

There will be a funeral at 10 a.m. Friday at Costa Memorial Home, Boulevard and Central Avenue, Hasbrouck Heights followed by an 11 a.m. funeral liturgy at Corpus Christi R.C. Church. Entombment following at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington. 

Visitation is from from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
