WOOD-RIDGE, N.J. — James T. Ferris of Wood-Ridge died on Sunday, Jan. 17. He was 88.
Before retiring, he was a service representative and manager for Pitney Bowes Corp. in Elmwood Park and White Plains for 43 years. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Ferris was a parishioner of the Church of the Assumption of Our Blessed Lady and a member of the St. Anthony Knights of Columbus Council in Wood-Ridge. He was also a member of the Bergen Irish Association in Dumont and a member of the former Pioneer Club in Hasbrouck Heights.
He is survived by his wife Marie (nee Carney) Ferris; son Neal Ferris and his wife Susan; daughter Alanna Turi and her husband Mark; daughter Catherine Cook and her husband Mark; brother Daniel Ferris; grandchildren Michael, Allison, Brian, Danielle, Christina, Liam, Nolan and Jack; and many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by James T. Ferris Jr., Thomas Ferris, Catherine Papernik and Margaret Smyth.
