HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, N.J. -- Lina M. (Gherardi) Chiella -- a Hasbrouck Heights residents, formerly of Union City -- died on Friday, Feb. 12. She was 89.
Born in Italy, Chiella is survived by her daughter, Lauri Chiella and her husband Dennis Dziezanowski; many nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends.
She was the dear sister of the late Geremia Gherardi, Daniele Gherardi, Guglielmo Gherardi, Barbara Licini and Rosetta Ruggeri. Chiella was predeceased by her parents, Daniele and Barbara (Sonzogni) Gherardi.
A funeral liturgy was held on Wednesday morning, Feb. 17, at Corpus Christi Church, in Hasbrouck Heights, with entombment at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, in North Arlington. Costa Memorial Home, in Hasbrouck Heights, assisted with arrangements.
