HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, N.J. -- Louis E. George, of Hasbrouck Heights, died Saturday, Nov. 12. He was 89.
He was born April 4, 1927, in Detroit, to the late George L. and Della George and was raised in Chicago. He was a U.S. Navy veteran during World War II. Before retiring, he was a produce buyer for A&P Supermarkets in Edison.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; children, Craig L. George and his wife Kathleen, Donna L. George and Robert C. George and his wife Sally; siblings, Robert George and the late Virginia Brown; and grandchildren, Kelly, Brian, Caitlin, Christopher and Lexi.
There will be a funeral at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Costa Memorial Home, Boulevard and Central Avenue in Hasbrouck Heights. There will be a funeral liturgy at 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi R.C. Church, 218 Washington Place, Hasbrouck Heights. Private cremation will follow. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
