JERSEY CITY, N.J. – Lucia (Ciocca) Santopietro, of Jersey City, died Monday, April 4. She was 99.
She was born in Pontecorvo, Italy, to the late Cesare and Elisabetta Ciocca, and came to the United States in 1956. She was a parishioner of St. Paul of the Cross Roman Catholic Church in Jersey City.
She was the mother of Giovanna Ravennati and her husband, Franco, Anna Fasciano and her husband, Tommy, Doriana Magarelli and her husband, Antonio, and the late Vittorio Santopietro and his, wife, Angela Santopietro; grandmother of Maria Lucia (Roberto), Isabella, Franco (Rose), Nickey (Ann Marie), Lou (Barbara), Little Louie (Kim), Angelo (Gabriella) and Lucy; and great-grandmother of Mario, Giovanna, Jenna, Alyssa, Victoria, Lia, Lilliana, Vittorio and Mia.
She was predeceased by her husband, Luigi Santopietro; and eight brothers and sisters.
Visitation will take place from 5-9 p.m. Thursday at Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Avenue., Hasbrouck Heights. A funeral service will take place at 9:15 a.m. Friday at Costa Memorial Home. A funeral liturgy will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Paul of the Cross Roman Catholic Church, Jersey City. Entombment will follow at Fairview Mausoleum.
