HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, N.J. -- Mary P. "Chickie" Schalhoub, of Hasbrouck Heights, died on Saturday, Jan. 14. She was 87.
Schalhoub worked alongside her husband, running two successful businesses, Joe's Fish Market in North Bergen and Chicken Delight in Hasbrouck Heights. "She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt," information from the funeral home noted.
She is survived by her children, Gary Schalhoub, Paul Schalhoub and Karen Schalhoub; grandson Timothy Watson; and sister Lyda Pinelli.
Schalhoub was predeceased by her husband, Albert Schalhoub; parents Silvestro and Pauline Pinelli; and brother Silvestro "Junie" Pinelli Jr.
The funeral was from Costa Memorial Home, in Hasbrouck Heights, on Tuesday morning, Jan. 17, with a funeral liturgy from Corpus Christi Church. Cremation was private.
