HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, N.J. -- Mary Cheryl Gilligan, of Hasbrouck Heights, died on Thursday, March 9. She was 53.
Raised in West New York, Gilligan graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. She was a teacher's aide at the Robert Craig School in Moonachie, for the South Bergen Jointure Commission.
She is survived by her husband, Brian Gilligan; son Zachary Gilligan; sister Denise Hamblin; in-laws Walter and Dana Gilligan and Barbara Gilligan; sisters-in-law Maura Gardy and Courtney Gilligan; and many nieces and nephews.
Gilligan was preceded by her parents, Clifford and Helen Heinzmann, and her sister Allison Heinzmann.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, March 16 at Costa Memorial Home, 170 Central Ave., in Hasbrouck Heights. Private cremation will follow.
