HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, N.J. – Rosella M. Claudio (Kelly), of Whiting and formerly of Hasbrouck Heights, died Saturday, Feb. 20. She was 94.
She was born in Scranton, Pa., to the late Thomas and Ella Kelly. She lived there for 12 years before moving to New Jersey. She was a descendent of the early pioneers.
Before retiring in 1982, she was a manager in the microfilm and the computer film department at United Jersey Bank in Paramus. She was a parishioner of St. Maximilian Kolbe Roman Catholic Church in Toms River and a member of its Rosary Society.
She was a former parishioner of Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church in Hasbrouck Heights, where she was a former member of Legion of Mary, the Rosary Society and the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. She also was a former member of the Leisure Club and the V.F.W. Post 4591 Ladies Auxiliary, both in Hasbrouck Heights. She was an honorary member of the World War II Memorial in Washington D.C.
Survivors include her sons, Robert Claudio Jr. and Richard Claudio; her daughter, Ella Manista and her husband, David; her grandchildren, Joseph Genaro, David Genaro and his wife, Brittany, and Kaysey Manista; and her great-grandson, Jacob Genaro.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Claudio Sr.
A memorial Mass will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 2 at Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church in Hasbrouck Heights. Interment will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook.
Memorial contributions to the Paralyzed Veterans of America or to the Priest for Life Group would be appreciated.
