LITTLE FERRY, N.J. – Vera H. Remes, of Little Ferry, died on Thursday, Dec. 3. She was 96.
Remes worked for the Social Security Administration in New York City, retiring in 1974.
She was predeceased by sisters Dorothy Sawyer and Edith Nepil and brother Frank.
Remes is survived by sisters Irene Kouba, Joan E. Lawrence and Marilyn Terry.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Trinka-Faustini Funeral Service in Maywood.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Margaret of Cortona Church in Little Ferry. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Park Cemetery in Hackensack.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Department 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
