Ziesha David Bromberg, 83, Hasbrouck Heights Resident

HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, N.J. -- Ziesha David Bromberg, of Hasbrouck Heights, died on Friday, Dec. 30. He was 83.

Born in New York City, Bromberg served in the armed forces for 20 years, in both the Army and the Air Force. He serves in the Korean War and the Vietnam War, and he received commendations for his work as a missile site manager in Minot, North Dakota, and for a cost reduction program he developed while in the Air Force.

Before he retiring, he was a deli clerk for Shop Rite, and previously, he worked at Stern's Department Store. "He greatly enjoyed commuting into New York City from New Jersey to partake in a of wide variety of cuisines," information from the funeral home noted.

"David deeply appreciated two friendships developed later in his life: Joyce Brinster, landlord and 'just someone you can trust' and Rosemary Smith, 'my angel.' He enjoyed his time with his deli friends and will miss them."

He is survived by his brother, Harry Bromberg.
