Bergen sheriff’s officers join Center for Food Action relief drive

ONLY ON CVP:  Heeding the call, a group of officers and civilian employees from the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office conducted a relief drive — sponsored by The Center for Food Action — to help those in Moonachie, Little Ferry and other areas hit hard by Hurricane Sandy.

Donations were still being accepted today (Friday) at the CFA. Among the items needed:

  • Canned tuna;
  • Meats;
  • Peanut butter;
  • Hearty soups;
  • Mac & cheese;
  • Canned beans;
  • Rice;
  • Pasta;
  • Shelf-able milk.

ALSO: personal care products, paper products and cleaning supplies.

Donation of funds is important, too: It will allow CFA to purchase what isn’t donated.
