Bogota police seek 3 in mugging

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: Bogota detectives were reviewing videos from Queen Anne Road businesses after three assailants on bicycles mugged a 55-year-old man on Central Avenue last night.

The victim was walking home from work around 9:40 p.m. near Teaneck when the three pulled up, jumped off their bikes and hit him in the head with something, Detective Capt. Jimmy Sepp told CLIFFVIEW PILOT this morning.

Then took off with a black bag with a FIFA log and containing a cellphone and his hearing aid, heading east on Central and then south on Queen Anne, Sepp said.

The victim was taken by ambulance to Holy Name Hospital with cuts on his head, he said.

Borough police were joined in the search by their colleagues from Ridgefield Park, Teaneck, and the Bergen County Police K9 unit.
