YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A trio of teenage women were smoking pot in a car parked in the lot of a local business when Elmwood Park police rolled up yesterday afternoon and arrested them, authorities said.
Released on court summonses charging possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia were Cynthia Rodriguez, 19, of Woodland Park and Kemily Melendez and Jamilet Gerardino, both 18-year-old Lodi High School graduates of Elmwood Park.
They were “smoking marijuana that they recently obtained,” Police Chief Michael Foligno said this morning.
Also arrested on drug charges by the Elmwood Park police:
Victoria Lee, 25, of Ridgefield Park, charged with marijuana possession and possession of drugs in a motor vehicle, following a stop yesterday afternoon on Falmouth Ave;
Sean Abbott, 22, of Hewitt on charges of possessing 25 bags of heroin after being stopped this afternoon on East 53rd Street. He also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of drugs in a motor vehicle and being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance, Foligno said.
