Members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Narcotic Task Force and Hasbrouck Heights police were watching 45-year-old Steve Lebron as he entered and then left the home of Jose L. Vazquez, 48, a short time later Wednesday night.

He got into a car that they then stopped and searched, finding $8,000 in cash and several grams of meth, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said this afternoon.

Soon after, they raided Vasquez’s home, taking him into custody and seizing three-quarters of a pound of cocaine, 1½ pounds of marijuana, steroids and $30,000, Molinelli said.

Lebron was charged with possession of crytal methamphetamine and released on a summons to appear in Municipal Court this coming Tuesday.

Vasquez was charged with possessing cocaine and marijuana with the intent to distribute both, and ordered held on $75,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail. He’s due in court on Tuesday, as well.
