HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, N.J. -- A crane snagged utility wires, pulling them down and closing a main artery in Hasbrouck Heights on Thursday afternoon.
Passaic Avenue was expected to remain closed at least until 6 p.m. and possibly until 7 following the mishap.
"The guy went up the block with the boom extended," Detective Lieutenant Michael Colaneri Jr. told Daily Voice.
Hasbrouck Heights police and firefighters, New Jersey State Police and PSE&G were among the responders.
