Lodi man in pot case charged following Twitter threat against detective

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A 21-year-old Lodi man busted after local police said they found him carrying a half-ounce of pot last week was arrested today on menacing charges after he threatened a detective on Twitter, authorities said.

Marquise Nether was carrying medication without a prescription, for which he was also charged, when he was taken into custody earlier today, Lt. Robert Salerno said this afternoon.

Nether was ordered held on $2,500 bail in the Bergen County Jail.

He was free on the same amount of bail, posted a short time after his arrest late last Wednesday.

Investigators from the department’s Narcotics Division said they were watching a Pasadena Avenue home when Nehter pulled up with others.

He was charged with distributing and possessing drugs.
