Angela Markline was also carrying prescription drugs not prescribed to her, Sgt. Jeff Napolitano told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

Napolitano said he responded with Officer Andrew Finch and Detective Robert Pezzillo to the Moonachie Road eatery around 5 p.m. after an employee “called and reported [three] individuals entering the bathrooms repeatedly.”

“The employee went into investigate and described seeing [Markline] using an intravenous needle,” he said.

One of the trio — known to police for prior drug use — bolted through a separate door as the officers arrived, Napolitano said. He was expected to be taken into custody.

A man who remained with Markline was questioned and allowed to leave.

Markline, meanwhile, was arrested on drug possession charges and taken to the Bergen County Jail after police found an outstanding $89 warrant from last November out of Ridgefield Park.
