Fursey Walsh, 44, of Englewood, was pulled over for traffic violations about 10:30 p.m. Monday, according to a statement from the Orangetown Police Department.

While the officer spoke to Walsh, he noticed the driver had alcohol on his breath, according to police.

Walsh voluntarily submitted to field sobriety tests, which he's accused of failing. Police said the New Jersey man was then arrested at the scene and taken to the Orangetown police headquarters in Orangeburg, where he refused to take a breath test.

Walsh, who was later released without bail, faces a misdemeanor count of DWI, according to police. He is to appear in Orangetown Town Court on Tuesday, Oct. 4, police said.
