Ridgefield Park detectives make arrest in truck burglary

EXCLUSIVE: Ridgefield Park detectives reviewed area surveillance video and added more than a bit of legwork to arrest a truck burglary suspect.

Detectives reviewing complaints noticed a report of a moving truck that had been broken into while parked on Bergen Turnpike.

The owners said roughly $30 in loose change had been taken, Detective Lt. Joseph Rella told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

“Area businesses there have surveillance cameras,” Rella said.

A review of them turned up a suspect — and an arrest on Thursday.

Joshua Lynn Bendewald, 20, of Ridgefield Park, was being held on $50,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with burglary
