Ridgefield Park Gives Out Batteries For Smoke, Carbon Monoxide Detectors

RIDGEFIELD PARK, N.J. -- The Village of Ridgefield Park Emergency Management Office is giving out free batteries to residents for smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. 

The battery give-away is is from Tuesday through Thursday, while supplies last.

From from 8:30 a.m. to noon, Tuesday through Thursday (or until supplies run out) the Office of Emergency Management and the village Bureau of Fire Prevention will give out free 9 volt batteries for the detectors. 

The free batteries are only available to village residents. Residents can pick up the batteries at the Emergency Management office, at 50 Main St. There is a limit of two per household.
