The driver was talking on his cellphone when officers pulled over his Dodge Caravan on Route 46 yesterday afternoon, Capt. Daniel Hippe told CLIFFVIEW PILOT this morning.
They detected the odor of burnt marijuana, spoke with the occupants and took all of them into custody, he said.
Being held on $100,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail were Adonis Shinholster, 21, of Fort Lauderdale; Jerrard Green, 24, of Hollywood; and Jermaine Armstrong, 19, of Coconut Creek.
The boy was sent to the Bergen County Juvenile Detention Center on a juvenile complaint.
All are charged with wrongful impersonation and credit card theft.
Shinholster also was charged with carrying a small amount of marijuana.
Village police contacted law enforcement authorities in Florida to help them determine the source and scope of the thefts.
