MOONACHIE, N.J. -- Moonachie police made their 51st arrest in Teterboro when they took into custody a 67-year-old New York City woman who Walmart security officers said tried to walk out with $238.65 worth of supplements and vitamins.
Hami Lin was released on a court summons followig her arrest Tuesday, Detective Sgt. Anthony Fugnitti told Daily Voice.
Moonachie police made 45 Teterboro arrests all of last year.
Before Walmart and Costco opened in Teterboro, Moonachie police averaged seven to 14 arrests a year out of the southern end of the tiny borough. They now cover the entire town.
