Ridgefield Park Schools Expand First Grade Into Thomas Jefferson

RIDGEFIELD PARK, N.J. -- The Thomas Jefferson Early Learning Center in Ridgefield Park is now housing seven first grade classes in an effort to ease overcrowding at the elementary schools, according to NorthJersey.com.

The facility only housed kindergarten classes during the 2014-15 school year. Those students who attended TJELC last year for kindergarten will remain for first grade to smooth the transition process, NorthJersey.com reported.

The transition will help reduce class size and allow teachers to share resources more easily, NorthJersy.com said.
