Launched by the Ridgefield Park School community, the fundraiser aims to help Tony Gonzalez, the school’s former football and wrestling coach, and the Chiarello family after a fire ripped through their home on April 20.

Amongst the many donors were dozens of Gonzalez’ former athletes, and even those that competed against him.

“Wanted nothing more than to defeat the Scarlets but you got the better of most of the match ups,” former Fort Lee athlete Kevin Drumgoole wrote. “Great coach who continues to serve the community.”
