Basketball Registration Opens For Ridgefield Park Kids

RIDGEFIELD PARK, N.J. -- Basketball registration is open to both boys and girls in grades 2-8 who live or attend school in Ridgefield Park.

The season is approximately from November through March.

Registration fees are $40 for the first child and $30 for each additional child. There is a late registration fee of $5.

Checks should be made payable to RP Board of Recreation and mailed to RP Board of Recreation, 234 Main St.

All registration forms must be submitted by Oct. 25 to guarantee a spot on a team.

Special note: No registrations will be accepted at evaluations.

The evaluations will be at Lincoln Elementary School, 712 Lincoln Ave., as follows:

  • Nov. 2: Boys in grades 3-4 and 5-6 at 6:30 p.m.
  • Nov. 4: All girls at 6:30 p.m.
  • Nov. 4: Boys in grades 7-8 7:30 p.m.

Anyone interested in coaching or helping the basketball program should leave a message with the Board of Recreation at (201) 641-4950, Ext. 610.

Also, those in at least seventh grade who are interested in training to be either a timer or scorekeeper for the basketball season should leave their name and phone number on the Board of Recreation voicemail at (201) 641-4950, Ext. 610.
