Hasbrouck Heights Finishes Perfect Regular Season With Win Over Ridgefield

RIDGEFIELD, N.J. – Hasbrouck Heights completed its perfect run through the regular-season schedule with a 48-6 victory over Ridgefield Friday night at Willis Field in Ridgefield. The Royals fall to 0-6.

Heights will next play Becton Regional Friday night at Depken Field in Hasbrouck Heights in the first round of the North Jersey Interscholastic Conference Bowl Series.

Aviator quarterback Frank Quatrone broke off the first of his two touchdown runs, a 29-yarder to open the scoring in the first half. Joey Giancaspro’s extra point gave Heights a 7-0 lead. Defensive end Phillip Miller got the Heights defense on the board, returning a fumble 32 yards for a 13-0 lead.

Quatrone scored his second touchdown, a 70-yarder to stretch the lead to 20-0. Quatrone had two rushes on the night for 99 yards. Defensive back Jasiah Perdie gave Heights' defense its second touchdown, with a 20-yard interception return. Running back John Iurato finished the Aviators' scoring in the first quarter, with a 6-yard for a 34-0 lead in the first quarter.

Nick Monahan took over the running duties in the second quarter, scoring on a 58-yard run to make the score 41-0 at the half. It is the fourth time that the Aviators have scored more than 40 points in the first half.

Monahan added a 30-yard run in the third quarter for the Aviators' final score. The sophomore running back finished with 137 yards rushing on seven carries.

Ridgefield’s Alex Marasculo’s 40-yard reception in the third quarter gave Ridgefield its only points of the season.
