The HHSC Aviators were strong in both the freestyle and backstroke events Wednesday night for second-year head coach Raquel Cannarozzi, assisted by Jenna DiGiacinto and Kristen Kunnapas.

Swimmers range in age from 5 to 17 years old.

“For a small team, I think we excelled and were able to capitalize in various age groups and events," Cannarozzi said. "It's been great to see how hard the kids have been working in the last two weeks

"It really paid off tonight, not just because everyone swam well and we won, but also because all the swimmers really came together as a team and were invested in the meet, whether cheering their teammates on or wishing the opposing swimmers good luck.”

Both teams are members of the Central Bergen League, along with New Milford, River Edge and Woodcliff Lake. The next meet for Hasbrouck Heights will at home against River Edge on Monday, July 11.
