LITTLE FERRY, N.J. -- It might be October and the baseball season is winding down, but it’s not too early to start thinking about next year in Little Ferry and South Hackensack.

The Little Ferry-South Hackensack Little League will conduct its first registration for the 2016 season from 6-8 p.m. on Oct. 23 at the Little Ferry South Hackensack Little League Club House, 50 Indian Lake Rd., Little Ferry.

The league is open to players age 6-12 of all abilities born between Sept. 2009 and May 2003. Cost to register is $55 for your first child and $50 for each additional player.

Softball registration is done by grades, rather than age, and is open to girls up until eighth grade. Tee ball is available to kids ages 4-5 and costs $30 to sign-up. Families registering will also need to purchase a $30 raffle ticket book the night of registration.

Birth certificates required. The league will also hold sign-up dates on Nov. 20 ($65), Dec. 4 ($75) and Jan. 4 ($85) from 6-8 p.m. at the same club house.

More information is available online on the league’s Facebook page .
