Legendary Record Producer Tommy LiPuma Of Pound Ridge Dies At 80 Tommy LiPuma, a jazz and pop producer of Pound Ridge died on Monday in Manhattan. He was 80. Born on July 5, 1936 in Cleveland, Ohio, he left his job as a barber to work in the record business in Los Angeles. He worked his way up from a promotional representative at Liberty Records and came to collaborate with many musicians, including Barbra Streisand, Miles Davis, Natalie Cole, Diana Krall, Paul McCartney, and others. LiPuma’s productions won five Grammys and were nominated for 28 more, and saw sales of 75 million. His two most recent Grammys came for his work with McCartney “Kisses On…

Seniors Could Go Hungry In Passaic County Under Trump's Budget Proposal Meals On Wheels and other programs that mostly help low-income senior citizens in Passaic County are at risk under a budget proposed by President Trump, multiple news outlets report. People's lives are at stake, Passaic County Freeholder Assad Akhter told northjersey.com. The meal program that feeds over 1,300 shut-ins in Passaic County alone relies on federal funding from the Community Development Block Grant program. Passaic Mayor Personally Getting Homeless Off Streets During Storm PASSAIC, N.J. -- The Passaic mayor hit the streets Tuesday morning checking under bridges to ensure every homeless person is picked up during the storm. Hector Carlos Lora was on live on Facebook on Tuesday morning trudging the snow-filled streets and updating residents about conditions. He reiterated that he signed an executive order Monday night mandating that all homeless persons be moved from the street during the storm. Shuttered Wayne Paris Inn To Return Deposits WAYNE, N.J. -- The owners of a popular Wayne catering hall that suddenly closed on Saturday said deposits will be returned. Letters are going out explaining the circumstances to everyone who booked parties. "We have all intentions of returning our customers their deposits in processing this closing," the owners said on Facebook.
