“I’ve always done work in the Meadowlands,” Rosenberg said. “We’ve worked on banks, worked for the Meadowlands river barge project, worked together with architects from Canada on American Dream and schools in Lyndhurst and Carlstadt.

"It’s very exciting and inspiring to make communities better.”

Currently DMR is working on constructing a new YMCA building in East Rutherford.

The Meadowlands Chamber chose four “distinguished and deserving honorees for their contributions to the Meadowlands business community” to honor at the 42nd Annual Awards Gala at the Westmount Country Club in Woodland Park on Oct. 12.

Rosenberg grew up in Jersey City and felt the passion to build.

“I always wanted to be an architect,” he said. “I guess it was in my blood. My grandfather was a carpenter.”

Rosenberg started his firm in Maywood 1991 with only three people doing architectural work for public and private.

“We have now grown to nearly 40 people and work internationally and nationally,” hesaid. “Working with colleges, universities, industries and corporations.”

DMR Architects moved to Hasbrouck Heights 10 years ago.

“It’s a great opportunity to help people with their life and lifestyle,” Rosenberg said of his business. “And help with their ability to work, live, shop and play.”
