Frederick R. Freschi, 68, Of Hasbrouck Heights

HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, N.J. -- Frederick R. Freschi, 68, of Hasbrouck Heights, died Oct. 12. 

He was born Oct. 27, 1947. 

For 20 years, he was a truck driver for the New York Times in Jersey City, retiring in 2015. Prior to that, he was an auto mechanic at the Exxon Garage in Hasbrouck Heights for more than 25 years. 

He was a member of the Charter Oak Gun Club and former coach for Hasbrouck Heights Little League. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his best friend, Billy, and the guys. He loved fishing with his grandchildren and playing dominoes with them, camping and backpacking. 

He is survived by his wife, Barbara J. (nee Muchmore) Freschi; children, Frederick M. Freschi and his wife Kelly, Carol A. Freschi-Willems and her husband Bart and Jessica R. Freschi; grandchildren, Dylan, Dakota, Hunter, Blake, Brooke, Courtney and London; and sisters, Linda Mulcair and Cheryl Munzer.

There will be a funeral service at 10 a.m. Monday at the Kimak Funeral Home, 425 Broad St., Carlstadt. Interment will be in George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
