HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, N.J. -- Joanne Misiunas, of Hasbrouck Heights, died Sunday, Aug 14. She was 67.
She was born Dec. 17, 1948, in Passaic to the late Attilio and Emilia Santin.
She was a graduate of St. Francis School of Nursing in Jersey City, received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Jersey City State College and her masters degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck.
Before retiring, she was director of perioperative services at Palisades Medical Center in North Bergen and a registered nurse for 45 years.
She was the wife of John Misiunas; mother of Jonathan Misiunas and his wife Kirsten, Jillian Busch and her husband Keith, Jayna Curci and her husband Daniel and John Gallaugher and his wife Kim; and grandmother of Jack, William, Wesley, Gianna, Ian, Maya and Lily.
There will be a funeral at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Costa Memorial Home, Boulevard and Central Avenue, Hasbrouck Heights followed by a 10 a.m. funeral liturgy at Corpus Christi R.C. Church, 218 Washington Place, Hasbrouck Heights. Private cremation will follow. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
