RIDGEFIELD, N.J. – John Scrivanich, a resident of Ridgefield, died Wednesday, May 25. He was 70.
Born May 12, 1946, in Sansego, Croatia, he was raised in Santa Margherita, Italy.
He worked as an auto mechanic for NJTransit in Wayne. He also was vice president of the St. Nicholas Society of Sansego in Fairview, N.J., for more than 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Maria; children, Angela Hroncich and husband Marty, Mary Grace Scrivanich and Jeanette Fogarty and husband Rich; grandchildren Richard and Dylan Fogarty; brother, Steve Scrivanich and wife Maria; and his loving brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The funeral will be at 9 a.m.Saturday at the A.K. Macagna Funeral Home, 495 Anderson Ave., Cliffside Park. A funeral Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew R.C. Church in Ridgefield. Entombment to follow at Fairview Mausoleum in Fairview.
