HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, N.J. -- Lucille A. Penna, of Hasbrouck Heights, died on Wednesday, Nov. 2. She was 100.
Born in Jersey City, the centenarian was a volunteer at Hackensack University Medical Center's gift shop for 26 years. She was a former member of the Contemporary Club and the Leisure Club, both in Hasbrouck Heights.
Penna is survived by her son Ronald Penna and his wife Joanne; granddaughters Julie Cowan, Erica Griggs, Jessica Smith and Alison Auerbach; and six great-grandsons.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Penna; son Dennis Penna and his wife Alice; and parents Salvatore and Teresa Matturro.
Visiting hours will be from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 4, at the Costa Memorial Home, Boulevard and Central Avenue, in Hasbrouck Heights. The funeral will be from the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, with a 9:30 a.m. funeral liturgy from Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church, in Hasbrouck Heights.
