Prosecutor: Ridgefield Park Athlete Had Sex With Girl, 13

RIDGEFIELD PARK, N.J. -- An 18-year-old Ridgefield Park High School athlete had a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old girl, said authorities who arrested him.

Isaiah Drakeford was ordered held on at $150,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault and child endangerment.

Officials at Ridgefield Park Junior Senior High School notified authorities after learning of the "inappropriate relationship" last Friday, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said Monday.

Village police and detective from Grewal's Special Victims Unit investigated he said.

Drakeford was one of five seniors honored at the varsity basketball team's final home game in February. He also played football.
