Teaneck Mayor To Be Honored At Greater Bergen Community Action Spring Gala

TEANECK, N.J. -- Teaneck Mayor Lizette Parker will behonored by Greater Bergen Community Action (GBCA) as one of “Six Outstanding Women” at its annual Spring Gala on Wednesday.

Parker is Bergen County’s first African-American female mayor. She is also ardent supporter of GBCA’s Head Start activities.

“Our Lois A. Braithwaite Community Advocacy Awards help us share the legacy of our longtime board president, who passed away last year.” Robert F. Halsch, Jr., GBCA President and CEO said in a statement. “Each of these accomplished women shows Lois’s dedication to those ‘who can use a hand.’” 

The ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. at The Terrace in Paramus.
